BALTIMORE, June 18 (UPI) -- Roy Halladay won his 10th straight start to extend his franchise record Wednesday night, carrying the Toronto Blue Jays past the Baltimore Orioles, 6-2.
Mike Bordick drove in a pair of runs for Toronto.
After setting the franchise record in his last start, Halladay continued his remarkable run and became the first pitcher since Chuck Finley in 1997 to win 10 consecutive outings. He is the first Toronto starter to win 10 straight decisions since Roger Clemens won 15 in a row in 1997.
Halladay (10-2) also won his sixth straight start against the Orioles, allowing just two runs and six hits in seven innings. He struck out five and did not walk a batter.
The Blue Jays gave Halladay all the support he needed in the third off Orioles starter Omar Daal (4-8). Bordick produced the game's first two runs with a bases-loaded single.
