Baltimore 7, Milwaukee 2

BALTIMORE, June 14 (UPI) -- Jay Gibbons hit a grand slam and a two-run homer to lead Baltimore over Milwaukee 7-2 Friday night.

Gibbons homered in the fifth and seventh innings and also smacked a double in a game that had two rain delays totaling nearly 2 1/2 hours.

Sidney Ponson got his ninth win against three losses, allowing a run and six hits in six innings. Milwaukee starter Glendon Rusch (1-10) lost his ninth straight game.

Eddie Perez drove in both runs for the Brewers, who have lost five of six.
