BALTIMORE, June 12 (UPI) -- Melvin Mora's solo homer extended his hit streak to 23 games as Baltimore beat the Chicago Cubs 6-1 Thursday.
Mora's homer came in the seventh inning of a game that had two rain delays, one for 53 minutes and another for an hour and 49 minutes.

Orioles starter Rick Helling (4-4) was the winning pitcher. He allowed four hits and struck out two in five scoreless innings. Travis Driskill got his first Major League save.
Loser Carlos Zambrano(5-6) started for the Cubs and lasted just two innings.
