San Francisco 7, Detroit 6

SAN FRANCISCO, June 9 (UPI) -- San Francisco rallied late and pulled out a 7-6 victory Sunday over the Detroit Tigers.

The Giants, trailing 6-4, got three runs in the eighth on a game-tying double by Rich Aurilia and another double by Edgardo Alfonzo.

San Francisco closer Tim Worrell finished up and got his 16th save in 18 tries this season. The Giants completed a homestand in which they won nine of 12 games.
