INDIANAPOLIS, May 31 (UPI) -- Tamika Catchings scored 15 points to lead five players in double figures Saturday as the Indiana Fever rolled to a 71-60 victory over Chamique Holdsclaw and the Washington Mystics.

Both teams are 1-1. Indiana has won three of the last four meetings.

Catchings and Holdsclaw were teammates at Tennessee, winning national titles together in 1997 and 1998. Catchings won WNBA Rookie of the Year honors last year while Holdsclaw was honored in 1999.

But while Holdsclaw has had to go it alone with the Mystics, Catchings appears to have some scorers around her. The Fever opened a 36-29 halftime lead despite just four points from their top player.

Niele Ivey scored a career-high 14 points, making four of four three-pointers and adding six assists. Stephanie White scored 13 points, Natalie Williams added 12 and Kelly Schumacher 10 for the Fever, who shot 43 percent from the field.

Holdsclaw had 17 points and 12 rebounds, making just eight of 19 shots. Murriel Page scored 19 points to lead Washington, which shot 39 percent and had just one other player in double figures.

Two free throws by former Mystic Nikki McCray gave Indiana the lead for good at 27-25 and started an 11-4 surge that closed the first half and opened a 36-29 lead.

A three-pointer by Stacey Dales-Schuman - her only basket of the game - pulled the Mystics within 45-44 with 15:09 remaining. But White scored five points in a 9-4 stretch capped by a layup by Catchings for a 56-48 advantage with 9:17 to go.

Ivey's three-pointer made it 66-56 with 4:15 to play.
