Texas 5, Baltimore 3

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 23 (UPI) -- Rafael Palmeiro homered and drove in three runs and Michael Young had a solo shot Friday night as the Texas Rangers ran their season-best winning streak to seven games with a 5-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

The Rangers were trailing, 1-0, in the bottom of the first inning with two outs and a runner on first when Palmeiro belted a 3-1 pitch from Orioles starter Pat Hentgen (1-1) over the right field fence for his 501st career home run.
