Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MILWAUKEE, May 12 (UPI) -- Damian Miller's three-run homer capped a seven-run fourth-inning outburst Monday night as the Chicago Cubs cruised to an 11-5 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Chicago chased Brewers starter Glendon Rusch (1-7) and Miller greeted reliever Brooks Kieschnick by launching a 1-0 pitch over the left field wall to open a 9-2 advantage.
The versatile Kieschnick also homered for Milwaukee, but the Brewers lost for the fourth time in their last five games and got their 13-game home stretch off on the wrong foot.
Mark Grudzielanek singled and doubled in the fourth and finished with a season-high four hits.
Chicago starter Mark Prior (5-1) struck out 11 and has recorded at least 10 in eight of 27 career starts.
