LA Clippers 107, Portland 93

LOS ANGELES, April 17 (UPI) -- Lamar Odom collected 24 points and 13 rebounds and Lamar Odom added 18 and 11 Wednesday night as the Los Angeles Clippers pulled away for a 107-93 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

In the opening round of the playoffs, the sixth-seeded Blazers (50-32) will play third-seeded Dallas, which shared the best record in the NBA with San Antonio. The Lakers gained the fifth seed and a matchup against fourth-seeded Minnesota due to a superior conference record (33-19 vs. 29-23).

Andre Miller scored 19 points and reserve Keyon Dooling 16 for the Clippers, who took the lead for good, 73-72, on a jumper by Odom with 53 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Clippers, who finished at 27-55 and have several key personnel decisions to make in the offseason, took a 77-72 edge into the fourth quarter and extended it to as many as 17 points down the stretch.

Bonzi Wells scored 19 points and Rasheed Wallace added 15 and nine rebounds for Portland, which shot just 42 percent and allowed the Clippers to connect on 56 percent.
