MILWAUKEE, April 16 (UPI) -- Wisconsin-Green Bay women's basketball coach Kevin Borseth has signed a contract extension through the 2007-08 season.
The school made the announcement Tuesday.
Borseth led his team to a record 28 wins, and the new contract replaced his current deal, which was set to expire in two years.
"I'm very excited," said Borseth, whose squad reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. "It's nice that the University took the lead in doing this for me, because I did still have two years left on my contract. The fact that they were willing to grant an extension means a great deal to me. We've established a new home, a circle of friends, and a life here. Green Bay feels like home."
The Phoenix is 114-39 in five seasons under Borseth, including 28-4 this campaign. He was named the Coach of the Year in the Horizon League for the fourth time.
