Reds ink Joey Hamilton

CINCINNATI, April 11 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Reds Friday signed pitcher Joey Hamilton to a minor league contract.

Hamilton, 32, who spent spring training with St. Louis and was released by the Cardinals on March 26, will report to Triple-A Louisville of the International League.

The veteran righthander went 5-12 with a 5.39 ERA in 21 starts and 22 relief appearances for the Reds over the last two seasons.
