"I finally beat her at something," Agassi said during the trophy ceremony. "Steffi can bring all her trophies home from this tournament. I have one more, so I'll let her bring home the five that she won."

Graf, who won 22 Grand Slam titles and 107 tournaments, smiled as the trophy was presented to Agassi.

Agassi, who turns 33 next month, nearly withdrew before the tournament due to a sore shoulder, but ended up winning his third match in as many days to earn the $500,000 first prize.

"Yeah, it's hard to keep me away from this tournament," said Agassi, who has won 18 straight matches here since a loss to Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten in the 2000 semifinals.

Three-time champion Pete Sampras held the men's tournament record of 17 straight wins here from 1993-95.

Agassi broke Moya's serve in the fourth game of the first set for a 3-1 lead. He also broke in the seventh game of the second set to take the lead and held in the eighth after trailing, 15-40 An ace and a service winner started a streak of eight straight points to close out the match.

Top-seeded Serena Williams rallied past sixth-seeded Jennifer Capriati, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, in just over two hours Saturday in the women's final.
