
WINTER HAVEN, Fla., March 25 (UPI) -- Craig Biggio led off the game with a homer and added an RBI single and Geoff Blum also drove in two runs as the Houston Astros posted a 7-6 win Tuesday over the Cleveland Indians.
Making the transition to center field, Biggio went 2-for-3. Orlando Merced had two hits and an RBI and Blum singled home a run and added a sacrifice fly.
Houston starter Brian Moehler pitched five innings and allowed three runs and 10 hits.
Shane Spencer hit a two-run homer in a three-run seventh inning to help the Indians pull within 7-6. It was the fourth home run of the spring for Spencer.
Brad Lidge pitched two hitless innings for the save.
Ellis Burks had a solo home runs and an RBI single for the Indians.
Cleveland starter Jason Bere pitched five innings and yielded five runs and eight hits.
