PEORIA, Ariz., March 22 (UPI) -- Miguel Ojeda and Jason Bay homered in the eighth inning Saturday as the San Diego Padres rallied for a 3-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Arizona's Steve Finley scored his team's lone run in the seventh, walking to open the inning. He then stole second and advanced to third on an error by Ojeda and scored on a wild pitch by Bradley Baker.

But the Padres scored three times in the bottom of the eighth. Ojeda opened the inning with a homer to left field off Oscar Villarreal. Elpidio Guzman singled one out later and, after Todd Donovan struck out, Bay belted a home run over the left-center field fence.

Bryan Gaal earned the win after tossing a scoreless eighth and J.J. Trujillo notched the save after retiring three of four batters in the ninth.

San Diego starter Ben Howard tossed four scoreless innings. He allowed four hits, struck out three and walked none.

Armando Reynoso started for the Diamondbacks, allowing two hits with three strikeouts and no walks in four scoreless innings.
