HOUSTON, March 17 (UPI) -- The Houston Texans re-signed strong safety Eric Brown to a five-year contract Monday.
Financial terms were not disclosed for Brown, who battled shoulder problems last season while making the NFL minimum.

Signed as a free agent last August, Brown started 15 games and tied for fifth on the expansion team with 67 tackles. He was second with two interceptions and added half a sack and one forced fumble.
