CLEVELAND, March 8 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol scored 27 points Saturday night as the Memphis Grizzlies had an easy time picking up their first road victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, cruising to a 115-89 triumph.
The Grizzlies won for the first time in seven trips to Gund Arena and sent the Cavaliers to their sixth straight loss.
Gasol hit 11 of 13 from the field and grabbed six rebounds to help the Grizzlies snap a four-game road losing streak and win back-to-back games for the first time in nearly a month.
Mike Miller added 13 of his 21 points in the second quarter as Memphis took a 61-55 halftime lead. Miller and Gasol each had 17 at the intermission and neither scored in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies cruised to the blowout.
Stromile Swift added 20 points and 10 rebounds for Memphis, which also got 10 assists from Jason Williams.
Both teams shot over 57 percent from the field in the first half, but while the Cavaliers cooled off, the Grizzlies stayed hot, shooting 52 percent in the third quarter to Cleveland's 36 percent.
