Baltimore 10, Boston 6

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 5 (UPI) -- Brian Roberts hit a two-run homer and Deivi Cruz knocked in three runs Wednesday to lift the Baltimore Orioles to a 10-6 Grapefruit League victory over the Boston Red Sox.

Roberts' first spring homer off Casey Fossum highlighted the Orioles' five-run second inning. Cruz went 3-for-3 and Jeff Conine also had three hits for Baltimore, which had 18 hits off six pitchers.

Orioles starter Sidney Ponson yielded one hit in two scoreless innings for the win.

Fossum was ripped for five runs and five hits in 1 2/3 innings.

Earl Snyder homered twice and knocked in three runs for Boston.
