Atlanta 111; Cleveland 105

CLEVELAND, March 5 (UPI) -- Jason Terry scored 24 points Wednesday night to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 111-105 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Glenn Robinson added 23 apiece as the Hawks got their first two-game winning streak in more than a month.

Terry hit a three-pointer with four minutes left to snap a 98-98 tie and give Atlanta the lead for good.

The Hawks, who beat the Denver Nuggets, 92-86, on Tuesday, have won consecutive games for the first time since a three-game run from Jan. 29-Feb, 2.

Cleveland owner Gordon Gund refuted recent claims by waived guard Bimbo Coles that the Cavaliers are tanking the season to give them a better chance to pick high school phenom LeBron James in the draft. but the losing continued.

Cleveland fell for the 10th time in 11 games, and reached 50 losses for the fourth straight season.

The Cavaliers became the first team with 50 losses. They were joined by Denver, which lost to Memphis, 96-86.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 27 points for Cleveland.
