ROSEMONT, Ill., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Dwayne Wade had 17 points and freshman Steve Novak scored 14 of his 17 in the second half Wednesday night as the 11th-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 73-60 victory over DePaul.

Wade made six of 11 shots but was held nearly five points below his season average against the defensive-minded Blue Demons. Novak picked up the slack and could not be stopped in the second half.

Marquette was clinging to a 42-39 lead midway through the second half before scoring 15 of the next 23 points. Novak sank three three-pointers during the spurt, which gave the Golden Eagles a 57-47 cushion with six minutes left.

Novak made six of eight shots from the floor, including five of six three-pointers, as Marquette (18-3, 9-1 C-USA) posted its sixth straight victory over DePaul (12-8, 4-5).

Sam Hoskin scored 16 points and Andre Brown added 13 for the Blue Demons, who lost for the fourth time in six games.
