EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Marc Savard and Vyacheslav Kozlov scored 15 seconds apart late in the third period Friday night to lift the Atlanta Thrashers to their first win in New Jersey, a 4-2 triumph that snapped the Devils' 14-game points streak.

Dan Snyder and Ilya Kovalchuk also scored for Atlanta, which is 7-2-1 since Coach Bob Hartley took over. The Thrashers improved to 1-5-1 all-time in New Jersey and defeated the Devils for just the second time in 14 games (2-10-2).

Byron Dafoe, playing for the first time since Jan. 13, made 26 saves for the Thrashers.

Stephen Guolla and Patrik Elias had second-period goals for the Devils, who were attempting to set a club record with nine straight home victories.
