Orlando 101, Toronto 93

TORONTO, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady overcame a shaky start and scored 35 points Sunday to lead the Orlando Magic to a 101-93 victory over the his former team, the Toronto Raptors.

Entering the contest averaging 29.9 points per game to lead the NBA, McGrady missed six of his first seven shots. But the 6-8 All-Star scored 11 points in the second quarter and the Magic took a 55-46 lead at halftime that was never relinquished.

McGrady also just missed his first triple-double of the season, grabbing 11 rebounds and handing out eight assists as Orlando avenged a 115-109 home loss to the Raptors and won for just the second time in its last six games.

Hearing boos throughout the game from the sellout crowd of 19,800, McGrady played all but one minute and made 14-of-31 shots.

Morris Peterson scored 25 points and Antonio Davis added 21 and seven rebounds for Toronto, which dressed just eight players and lost for the 15th time in 17 games.
