NEW YORK, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The New York Rangers added a defenseman Wednesday but lost right wing Ronald Petrovicky, who will be sidelined four weeks with a sprained right ankle.
Petrovicky, who came over from Calgary in the waiver draft, was injured in the second period of Monday night's 5-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators.

The 25-year-old Slovakian has four goals and six assists with a minus-10 rating in 38 games.
Earlier Wednesday, the Rangers obtained disgruntled defenseman Boris Mironov from the Chicago Blackhawks for a 2004 fourth-round draft pick.
