Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SOUTH BEND, Ind., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Matt Carroll scored 25 points as No. 11 Notre Dame extended its winning streak to six games Sunday with a 93-75 victory over Canisius.
Notre Dame (10-1) defeated Canisius for the sixth successive time at the Joyce Center and improved to 19-4 in the all-time series. The Fighting Irish have won six straight games for the first time since opening last season 7-0.
Brian Dux scored 20 points for the Golden Griffins (5-4), who fell behind by as many as 35 points in the second half. The Golden Griffins last won against the Fighting Irish on Feb. 4, 1961.
