ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- The Orlando Magic Wednesday activated veteran forward Horace Grant from the injured list.
Grant has missed all but one game of the season with a sore left knee. He played just 13 minutes and scored two points in Orlando's season-opening victory over Philadelphia on Oct. 29 before leaving with the knee injury.
Grant, 37, in his 16th season, is averaging 11.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in his career. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Sept. 13.
Grant, who had been on the injured list since Nov. 8, will be available for Orlando's game against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.
The Magic placed center-forward Olumide Oyedeji, a native of Nigeria, on the injured list because of a lower back strain.
Oyedeji, who was selected by Seattle in the second round of the 2000 draft, averaged one point, 1.9 rebounds, and 5.0 minutes in eight games. This is his second stint on the injured list.
