Washington 103, Milwaukee 78

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Michael Jordan scored 25 points as the Washington Wizards snapped a season-high six-game losing streak Tuesday night with an easy 103-78 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

After the Wizards (7-10) had lost five in a row to negate the franchise's best 10-game start in 27 years, Jordan and Coach Doug Collins agreed to increase Jordan's minutes by moving him into the starting lineup.

In his first start Saturday against Philadelphia, Jordan scored 16 points but had just four after halftime and committed a costly turnover on the game's final possession, leading to a 95-94 loss.

Jordan bounced back Tuesday night to make 9-of-20 shots and pull down seven rebounds in 30 minutes. He watched the fourth quarter from the bench as Washington opened a 24-point lead in the third quarter.

Bryon Russell scored 16 points and fellow reserve Etan Thomas added 14 for the Wizards, who held a 54-40 rebounding advantage.

Tim Thomas scored 17 points for the Bucks, who have lost four straight road games. Milwaukee played without All-Star guard Ray Allen and reserve forward Toni Kukoc.
