Stanford 69, Florida 65

NEW YORK, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Rob Little and Justin Davis each scored 12 points in the second half Wednesday night as Stanford upset seventh-ranked Florida, 69-65, to advance to the final of the Preseason NIT.

Little finished with 18 points to help the Cardinal (4-0) set up a meeting with either Kansas or North Carolina in Friday's championship game at Madison Square Garden.

Florida (3-1) suffered its first loss in this event, falling to 6-1 all time.

Matt Bonner's running hook with 53 seconds remaining lifted the Gators into a 65-65 tie.

On the ensuing possession, Stanford's Matt Lottich missed a three-pointer. But the rebound went right to Little, who had an easy layup that put the Cardinal ahead with 18 seconds left.

Anthony Roberson, who was just one of 13 from the field, missed a jumper for Florida with four seconds to go. Davis hit a pair from the line with two seconds left to clinch the victory.

Davis contributed 14 points and was one of four players in double figures for the Cardinal. Lottich chipped in 13 and Julius Barnes added 11.

Bonner scored 19 points and Matt Walsh 17 for the Gators, who shot just 39 percent from the field.

Stanford erased a 36-32 halftime deficit by shooting 50 percent from the field in the second half. The Cardinal finished at 45 percent.
