CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Roger Powell scored 17 points and freshman James Augustine collected 12 and nine rebounds Wednesday night to pace No. 25 Illinois to a 96-43 blowout victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Fighting Illini (2-0) had little trouble dispatching Arkansas-Pine Bluff without Brian Cook, a co-preseason Big Ten Player of the Year. Cook and reserve guard Jerrance Howard were suspended for the first two games of the season for participating in an unsanctioned summer tournament.

Already having a 10-7 lead midway through the first half, Illinios took control with a 12-2 run that Sean Harrington capped with a jumper with 9:01 remaining.

The Illini continued to own the period, leading by as many as 23 points and taking a 40-19 lead into the locker room.

Justin Lloyd recorded 10 points and five rebounds and Michael Kendrick chipped in with nine points for Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
