ATLANTA, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Glenn Robinson scored a season-high 37 points and Alan Henderson grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds playing out of position as the Atlanta Hawks edged the Seattle SuperSonics in overtime Tuesday night, 119-116.
After a layup by Seattle's Rashard Lewis with five seconds left sent the game into overtime tied at 105-105, Robinson opened the extra period with a pair of jumpers to key a 9-2 run.
Lewis drained a 3-pointer with 38 seconds left to slice the deficit to 114-113, but Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Emanual Davis sank two free throws apiece around a foul shot by Lewis.
Gary Payton hit a driving layup and Robinson hit 1-of-2 from the line to provide the final margin, but not before Brent Barry and Lewis missed potential game-tying 3-pointers in the last five seconds.
Henderson, normally a power forward, scored 14 points subbing at center for Theo Ratliff, who sat out with the flu.
Payton finished with a season-high 32 points for Seattle, which suffered its first loss in Atlanta since Nov. 11, 1997.
