Oklahoma St. 63, Baylor 28

STILLWATER, Okla., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Josh Fields passed for four touchdowns and Tatum Bell rushed for 106 yards and three scores Saturday as Oklahoma State rolled to a 63-28 victory over Baylor in Kevin Steele's final game as coach of the Bears.

Steele posted a 9-35 record in his four-year tenure at Baylor, including a 1-31 mark in conference play. He was fired on Nov. 3, but stayed on to coach the Bears' final three games.

The victory enabled Oklahoma State (6-5, 4-3 Big 12 South) to become bowl eligible for the first time since 1997 and for just the second time since 1988. The Cowboys conclude the regular season next week against Oklahoma.

Baylor (3-10, 1-7) took a 7-0 lead on Rashad Armstrong's 11-yard run with 9:44 left in the third quarter. But Oklahoma State (6-5, 4-3) scored the next nine touchdowns, including five in a 35-point second quarter, to open a 63-7 lead early in the third period.

After Oklahoma State tied it on Fields' one-yard run, Bell scored on a pair of four-yard efforts to make it 21-7 early in the second.

Fields threw for three touchdowns in the second quarter, hooking up with John Lewis once and Rashaun Woods twice to give the Cyclones a 49-7 halftime cushion. Woods finished with seven receptions for 134 yards.

Baylor ended the season with a six-game losing streak, during which which it was outscored, 335-58.

Aaron Karas completed 13 of 21 passes for 158 yards before giving way to Greg Cicero and Guy Tomchek. Armstrong rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries.
