L.A. Clippers 99; Golden State 89

OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Michael Olowokandi had 24 points and 10 rebounds and Elton Brand added 17 and 11 Monday night as the Los Angeles Clippers posted a 99-89 win over the Golden State Warriors.

Golden State was coming off a 43-point rout of Orlando on Saturday, its largest win in more than 10 years, but were flat against the Clippers and looked nothing like the team that posted an NBA season-high 135 points two days ago.

The Warriors shot just 35 percent (30-of-87) from the field and could not overcome scoring only 38 points in the first half.

Golden State scored the game's first six points, but Los Angeles responded with a 14-1 run to take the lead for good. Eric Piatkowski scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half for the Clippers, who were never threatened in the final 24 minutes.

Corey Maggette scored 16 points as Los Angeles snapped a three-game losing streak.

Antawn Jamison scored 26 points and Troy Murphy collected 10 and 10 rebounds for the Warriors, who have lost nine of their last 11 games.
