CHICAGO, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Dusty Baker and the Chicago Cubs made it official Friday, agreeing to a four-year contract that brings the three-time Manager of the Year to a team trying to end one of baseball's longest World Series droughts.
When Baker left the National League champion San Francisco Giants earlier this month, Chicago was quick to make known its desire to hire the 53-year-old. On Friday, the sides agreed to a four-year deal.
