Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- The Orlando Magic have placed veteran forward Horace Grant on the injured list with a sore left knee.
Grant played just 13 minutes and scored two points in Orlando's season opening victory over Philadelphia on Oct. 29 before leaving with the knee injury.
Grant, in his 16th season, is averaging 11.5 points and 8.4 rebounds in his career.
The Magic activated center-forward Olumide Oyedeji, a native of Nigeria, to take Grant's place on the roster. Oyedeji, who was chosen by Seattle in the second round of the 2000 NBA draft, was out since Oct. 28 with a lower back strain.
