Syracuse 38, Central Fla. 35

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Walter Reyes recorded his fourth 100-yard game of the season Saturday night, rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns as Syracuse rallied for a 38-35 victory over Central Florida.

Reyes, who carried 27 times, scored on runs of four and five yards in the first 5:10 of the fourth quarter, helping the Orangemen (3-6) erase a 27-24 deficit. He also caught a touchdown pass in the third period.

Central Florida (3-5) answered on Ryan Schneider's four-yard scoring pass to Sean Gaudion with 8:52 to play, then scored on the two-point conversion to make it 38-35

The Orangeman, who have won two in a row following a four-game losing streak, amassed 539 yards of total offense.

The Golden Knights jumped to a 14-0 lead in the first 7 1/2 minutes of TD runs of four yards by Alex Haynes and two yards by Andreal Curry.

But Syracuse closed to 21-10 at the half on Troy Nunes' 40-yard pass to David Tyree with 2:21 left in the second period.

Nunes, who completed 13 of 18 passes for 199 yards, tossed a 38-yard pass to Reyes to make it 21-17 with 12:16 left in the third quarter.

After Syracuse pulled even at 24-24 on Nunes' 12-yard toss to Jared Jones, Central Florida took its final lead on Matt Prater's 34-yard field goal with 1:37 left in the third.

Schneider completed 28 of 47 passes for 440 yards for the Golden Knights.
