DALLAS, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Zac Threadgill passed for 270 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as Nevada defeated Western Athletic Conference foe SMU, 24-6, for its first road victory of the season.
The Wolf Pack (4-4, 3-2 WAC) led by just 3-0 before Threadgill completed a four-yard touchdown pass to Nate Burleson 14 seconds into the fourth quarter.
The Mustangs (1-9, 1-5) got within 10-6 on a five-yard run by Kris Briggs with 7:54 to play, but Tre Stephenson's extra-point attempt failed.
