KENT, Ohio, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Josh Harris, the nation's leading scorer, passed for two touchdowns and ran for another Saturday and Joe Alls rushed for 179 yards and two scores as the 18th-ranked Bowling Green Falcons routed Mid-American Conference rival Kent State, 45-14.
Bowling Green extended its winning streak to 11 games, second only to No. 1 Miami's 30-game run.
Alls' second touchdown with 8:33 remaining in the first half snapped a 7-7 tie, and Harris' 18-yard touchdown toss to Charles Sharon with nine seconds left before the break gave the Falcons a 24-7 edge at halftime.
Harris' three-yard run three seconds into the fourth quarter was the first of three touchdowns for the Falcons (8-0, 5-0 MAC) in the final final period. Andy Sahm capped the scoring with a 12-yard run up the middle with 7:18 to play.
Harris, who entered the game averaging 13.1 points per game despite not scoring in the Falcons' 38-20 win over Ball State last week, was 18 of 24 for 201 yards without an interception.
Sophomore Joshua Cribbs was eight of 18 for 95 yards and three interceptions for Kent State (3-6, 1-5), which lost its fourth straight game.
Cribbs also ran for 91 yards and one touchdown but fell one passing yard short of becoming just the second player in NCAA history to both rush and pass for 1,000 yards in a season twice.
Air Force's Beau Morgan accomplished the feat in 1995 and 1996.
It was the Falcons' third straight victory over the Golden Flashes. Bowling Green leads the all-time series, 50-15-6.
