BUFFALO, N.Y., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Mike Johnson and Daymond Langkow each had a goal and an assist and Sean Burke made 28 saves Saturday night to lead the Phoenix Coyotes to a 3-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

Unbeaten in their last six meetings with Buffalo (3

3-0), the Coyotes erased a one-goal deficit with three consecutive tallies, including two by their second line.

Langkow, who won a first-period fight with defenseman Jason Woolley, scored a power-play goal late in the second to even the game at 1-1. After Tony Amonte broke the deadlock early in the third with his first goal as a Coyote, Johnson netted the game-winner, his second tally of the season.

After opening the season with three straight losses, Burke was strong, stopping 13 shots in the first period and 10 in the third for his first win.

Chris Gratton and Taylor Pyatt scored for Buffalo, while Mika Noronen made 25 saves in his first start of the season.
