BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Chris Brown rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lead 25th-ranked Colorado to a 34-0 rout of Baylor in a Big 12 Conference game.
A 220-pound junior, Brown exploded for a career-high 309 yards in Colorado's 53-29 win over Kansas last week. On Saturday, Brown scored on a 55-yard run just 63 seconds into the game. He also scored on runs of one and four yards in the first half when Colorado (5-2, 3-0 Big 12 North) scored all of its points.
Brown rushed for 115 yards on just 14 carries in the first half and added 52 yards on nine carries in the third quarter before leaving with an apparent ankle injury. He has rushed for 1,154 yards in seven games.
Quarterback Robert Hodge had a 34-yard touchdown run and fullback Brandon Drumm added a one-yard scoring run for Colorado, which beat Baylor (3-4, 1-2 South) for the fifth straight time.
Since snapping a 29-game conference losing streak two weeks ago against Kansas, Baylor has been walloped by Texas A&M and Colorado by a combined score of 75-0.
