CHICAGO, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson scored 16 points and Shawn Marion added 16 as the Phoenix Suns posted an 85-75 preseason victory Monday night over the Chicago Bulls.
Rookie Amare Stoudemire fouled out in 19 minutes with 13 points and eight rebounds. Fellow first-round draft choice Casey Jacobsen added 11 points for Phoenix, which shot just 62 percent (18-of-29) from the free-throw line. Johnson was 1-of-6.
Marcus Fizer played 20 minutes and scored two points after being arrested for carrying a loaded gun on Sunday. Fizer issued a statement, apologizing for his actions, but would not comment specifically on the incident.
Tyson Chandler led Chicago with 17 points and 12 rebounds and fellow second-year player Eddy Curry chipped in 16 points. Rookie Jay Williams was 4-of-10 from the floor for 13 points in 22 minutes.
