TORONTO, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Andy Roddick breezed into the final of the Tennis Masters Series-Toronto Saturday night, needing less than an hour to dispatch Jiri Novak of the Czech Republic.

Argentine Guillermo Canas, meanwhile, continued a remarkable run with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5) win over third-seeded Tommy Haas of Germany, his fourth victory of the tournament over a top-10 player.

The 12th-seeded Roddick will face the unseeded Canas in Sunday's final. Both are looking for their first win here with a $392,000 first prize at stake.

"Guillermo is playing great tennis right now," Roddick said. "He's playing the best tennis of everyone this week. He doesn't really have any weaknesses. He moves really well. I'm going to have to play a great match if I want to win tomorrow."

"I only try to enjoy being here and being in the final," Canas said. "It's been an excellent week."

Roddick routed the 14th-seeded Novak, 6-4, 6-3, in 52 minutes. He had his serve broken for just the second time in the tournament but used some breaks of his own to take control of the match.

After being broken, the 19-year-old Roddick registered his second break for a 5-4 lead and served out the set. He again broke and held to go up 4-1 in the second set and ended the match with an ace and forehand winner from deuce.

"I feel good," Roddick said. "In the last two weeks, I've started to play much better. I love the outdoor hardcourt season."

It will be the fourth final of the season for the hard-serving Roddick. He won the hardcourt Kroger St. Jude and the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships and lost the International Tennis Championships, a hardcourt event.

Canas needed more than two hours to eliminate Haas and become the first Argentine to reach a Tennis Masters Series final since Alberto Mancini in Miami in 1992.

Canas has had one of the best single-tournament runs in recent memory. Having already beaten No. 2 Marat Safin, No. 5 Yevgeny Kafelnikov and No. 10 Roger Federer, he is the only player on the ATP Tour this year to beat four top-10 players in one event.
