Cash continued her run at the Rookie of the Year award with her eighth double-double in the last 14 games. Nolan, a second-year guard, made six of 11 shots and scored 11 points in the second half.
A basket by Ann Wauters gave Cleveland a 42-37 lead with 13:22 remaining before things fell apart. Cash had nine points in a 22-2 spurt that gave the Shock a 59-44 advantage with just under six minutes remaining.
Nolan scored seven points in the run and Ayana Walker added four and a pair of assists. The Rockers were held without a basket until Merlakia Jones' three-pointer with 5:37 remaining.
Detroit held a 38-29 edge on the glass and improved to 2-12 on the road.
Chasity Melvin scored 15 points and Wauters added 14 for Cleveland, which fell to 4-10 at Gund Arena. The Rockers went 14-2 at home last season en route to the best record in the Eastern Conference.
