Kansas City 6, Texas 4 (2nd Game)

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 15 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez knocked in three more runs Monday night, including a tie-breaking, two-run single in the seventh inning as the Kansas City Royals completed a doubleheader sweep of the Texas Rangers with a 6-4 victory.

After knocking in three runs in Kansas City's 8-6 victory in the opener, giving him a club-record 10 RBI in two games, Ibanez came through again in the nightcap.

Ibanez snapped a 4-4 tie with one out in the seventh, hitting a hard grounder up the middle that caromed off the heel of pitcher Juan Alvarez and into right field, allowing two runs two score.

Ibanez, who also drove in a run in the opening inning with a double, leads the major leagues with 32 RBI since June 21.

Kris Wilson (1-0) got the win despite allowing two runs in two innings.

Roberto Henrnandez worked a perfect inning for his 16th save. Hernandez also saved the first game.

Anthony Telford (2-1) retired just one batter while giving up two runs in the seventh.
