Chicago 2, Colorado 1 (OT)

NAPERVILLE, Ill., July 7 (UPI) -- Veteran midfielder David Vandreuil scored the game-winning goal in overtime Sunday, lifting the Chicago Fire to a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids.

In the waning seconds of overtime, Vandreuil took a pass from Dema Kovalenko in front and touched the ball past goalkeeper David Kramer. It was Vandreuil's first goal of the season.

Trailing, 1-0, the Fire got the equalizer in the 63rd minute when Josh Wolff put a rebound past Kramer. Kelly Gray helped set up the goal with an aerial pass into the box.

Just 12 minutes into the contest, the Rapids broke on top as Chris Henderson made a strong run to the far post. Henderson took a pass from Mark Chung and fired a shot just of the reach of goaltender Zach Henderson.
