Biffle wins Busch race

WEST ALLIS, Wis., June 30 (UPI) -- Greg Biffle recorded his second straight victory at the NASCAR Busch series GNC Live Well 250 Sunday, winning from the pole at The Milwaukee Mile.

Biffle held off a late challenge by Jason Keller in a battle of Ford Tauruses to take his second checkered flag of the year and register his fifth consecutive top-five finish. The 33-year-old won by 0.438 seconds, becoming the first driver to post back-to-back victories at Milwaukee in the 11-year history of the event.

After leading 168 of 250 laps, Biffle averaged 94.162 miles per hour en route to his seventh career Busch series win.

He made up a lot of ground on Jack Sprague, climbing within 46 points of the series points leader, who finished 14th. Last year, Biffle won this race from the outside of the front row.

Keller recorded his series-high 10th top-five finish and moved up to third in the Busch series standings.

Wisconsin native Scott Wimmer was third in a Pontiac Grand Prix, followed by the Chevrolet Monte Carlos of Ron Hornaday and Tony Raines. Wimmer was in front with less than 20 laps remaining but could not stay there.
