Philadelphia 8, Montreal 4

PHILADELPHIA, June 1 (UPI) -- Scott Rolen homered twice and drove in five runs and Vicente Padilla pitched seven innings Saturday night as the Philadelphia Phillies came from behind to defeat the Montreal Expos, 8-4.

After dropping the first four meetings of the season with Montreal, the Phillies fought back from a 2-0 deficit by hitting four home runs for the second straight game.

Rolen got the ball rolling, belting a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the game before hitting a three-run shot in the seventh for a 5-2 lead and his 11th career multi-homer game.

Bobby Abreu and Travis Lee also homered for Philadelphia, which won for just the second time in its last eight games.

Padilla (7-4) allowed two runs and seven hits to earn his first win in three career decisions against the Expos. The righthander walked two and struck out two.

Tony Armas Jr. (5-7) surrendered six runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings. He walked five and struck out seven.
