DETROIT, May 15 (UPI) -- David Eckstein homered and drove in three runs and Aaron Sele notched his fourth straight victory as the Anaheim Angels crushed the Detroit Tigers, 10-1, Wednesday night for their seventh consecutive triumph.
Brad Fullmer added his second homer and Garret Anderson had two hits and two RBI for Anaheim, which led 4-0 after two innings.
The Angels have 12 homers in their last six games. Over their first 15 contests, they had just five.
The Angels set a team record by improving to 16-2 in their last 18 games, outscoring their opponents by a 153-50 margin over that span. They went 15-3 in their previous-best 18-game stretch in 1998.
Sele (4-2) allowed one run and six hits, walked three and struck out four. He improved to 10-4 lifetime against Detroit.
Detroit starter Mark Redman (0-5) was tagged for seven runs -- four earned -- and nine hits in six innings. In 10 starts dating to September, he has never won in a Tigers' uniform.
Mike Rivera singled twice for Detroit, which failed to get an extra-base hit and dropped its seventh straight contest.
