CLEVELAND, May 2 (UPI) -- Cleveland Indians infielder-outfielder Jolbert Cabrera Thursday was activated from the 15-day disabled list and outfielder Milton Bradley was placed on the 15-day DL with a contusion to his left eye.

He started the season on extended spring training in Winter Haven, Fla., then went to Triple-A Buffalo for a 20-day rehabilitation assignment and hit .323 with three RBI and four

runs scored.

The 29-year-old Cabrera, who is the brother of Montreal Expos shortstop Orlando Cabrera, hit .261 with one home run, 38 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 141 games last season.

Bradley suffered his injury in the second inning of Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Anaheim Angels when Brad Fullmer's fly ball caromed off the wall and hit him in the eye.

Dr. James Conforto examined Bradley on Thursday and revealed that inflammation in his iris and the surrounding musculature is causing some double vision.

The 24-year-old Bradley is hitting .266 with two homers and five RBI in 23 games. He has been advised to rest for at least one week.
