KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 20 (UPI) -- The scheduled game between the Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals was postponed due to rain Saturday night.

With the Red Sox making their only trip of the season to Kauffman Stadium, the contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. EDT.

In the opener, Boston righthander John Burkett will face Kansas City's Dan Reichert (0-2). In the second game, Derek Lowe (2-1) will oppose Bryan Rekar, who will be recalled from Class AAA Omaha of the Pacific Coast League to make his first start of the season for the Royals.
