Anaheim 6; Texas 5 (10 innings)

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 17 (UPI) -- A two-run double by Darin Erstad with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday night scored David Eckstein and Jose Nieves as the Anaheim Angels rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Texas Rangers.

Erstad hit an 0-2 pitch down the right field line off John Rocker that just stayed fair. It was the Angels first extra-inning game of the season, but their fourth comeback win.

Rocker (0-2) started the inning and retired Brad Fullmer before yielding an infield single to Nieves and a walk to Eckstein.

The loss dropped the Rangers bullpen record to 1-7.

Texas scored three runs in the top of the first before Garret Anderson doubled in a pair of runs and scored on a throwing error by rightfielder Kevin Mench on a ball hit by Tim Salmon in the bottom of the inning.

Al Levine (1-0) allowed a run and two hits in two innings of relief.
