TUCSON, March 24 (UPI) -- Ray Lankford homered and drove in two runs and Trenidad Hubbard doubled twice Sunday to pace a split squad of San Diego Padres to a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Alan Embree allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings to notch the win in relief of Brian Lawrence, who yielded two runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings. Jose Nunez allowed two hits in the ninth but hung on for his third save.

Reliever Brian Fuentes absorbed the loss, giving up a run and three walks while recording the first two outs of the eighth.

Gary Bennett collected three hits and scored twice and Juan Uribe singled and drove in two runs for the Rockies. Bennett upped his batting average to .407 in 14 spring games.
