Colorado 7, Anaheim 3

TEMPE, Ariz., March 21 (UPI) -- Todd Zeile homered and drove in two runs and Carlos Hernandez also had two RBI Thursday as the Colorado Rockies defeated the Anaheim Angels, 7-3.

Nine different Rockies collected a hit, including Juan Uribe, who had a triple and an RBI and scored a run.


Colorado starter Denny Neagle allowed three runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings, striking out six and walking two. Rick White retired all four batters he faced for the victory.

Troy Glaus supplied the offense for Anaheim, stroking a three-run homer off Neagle in the sixth. Darin Erstad and Tim Salmon each had two hits for the Angels.

Matt Wise took the loss after giving up two runs and two hits in one inning. Angels starter Jarrod Washburn surrendered three runs and five hits in six innings.
