"I am thrilled about coming to Carolina and being able to play again for coach Del Rio as well as coach (John) Fox," Jackson said. "I know coach Del Rio is an enthusiastic coach and I have the same impression of coach Fox."

Jackson, 27, recorded 25 tackles on defense and ranked third on the Ravens with 16 special teams stops last season. He had 45 special teams stops in three seasons with Baltimore.

"Brad is a very athletic player who has excelled on special teams and played well on defense when the opportunity presented itself," Panthers coach John Fox said. "We have added a very capable special teams player who coach Del Rio feels is ready to make a significant contribution to our defense."
